If you want to stop reading right here, you can. But if you want some info on what I'm looking at, read on. I've been told a dynamic mic is better than a condenser. This microphone was recommended a while back, and it has good reviews. The microphone itself + usb cord to plug into the computer + desktop stand + wind screen will cost $42.50. I've found a few dynamic usb mics on amazon under $30, but the reviews on them say they record really quiet or have a hum or other interference. Others start climbing in price to the point that I might as well go with the above.Īs far as condensers, this microphone seems to be really popular, has great reviews, and costs $22. Then there's this gooseneck microphone that has surprisingly stunning reviews (though only 11), and one reviewer who says they specifically use it for Youtube. I don't have a ton of background, so I think I could get away with a condenser. #Samson sound deck amazon upgrade#īut I would rather have a quality microphone and not need to upgrade again later. But I also know from my logitech experience that more expensive does not always mean better. And if I order a model from Amazon and don't like it, I'm going to have to pay for return shipping, so I'm wasting money no matter what in that scenario. I'm just at a bit of a lose as how to choose. I don't agree in the slightest that it's better than a condenser for up close voice.
